Overview of the Calendar Functions

Rather than jumping from screen to screen to or worse yet, from program to program, we handle it all from the same area. We use the Detail Form to handle all time and scheduling and logging.

When entering a new detail record, you automatically link it to the person and the task -- if you enter it from the Task Control Center, by selecting the task you want it associated with. So, much of the information is already in place by the time you have pressed the Insert button from the Task Browse.

So, when you are considering the record as a log note, it automatically will have the current time and date for the start.  The End Time is automatic if you press the Clock button:

You can manually enter the number of hours if the end time is blank, so that it will then update the end time according to the hours. It also works vice-versa, so that you can enter the end time and if the hours field is blank, it will be updated.

By checking the Calendar Check box this detail record will be included when you print a calendar by date range from the Main Menu. This simple system allows you to have past, present and future scheduled items all in one place. The only difference between them is the time which changes between the viewing and editing.

Calendar and Project Reports

Once you have a good deal of detail in the system, you will be able to easily summarize in various ways. Following are some examples:

  1. Checked Calendar by checking the Calendar check box. Print from the Main Menu.
  2. Unchecked Calendar.  This will print a calendar for all items which are not checked. Print from the Main Menu.
  3. Day Timer Week Schedule will print future items in a format to fit the medium sized report for Day Timer.
  4. Productivity Summary from the Task Control Center show a quick summary of the user productivity by including every record in the system..
  5. View Calendar by Selected Day from the Task Control Center.
  6. View Calendar by Date Range from the Task Control Center.
  7. Project Report from the Task Control Center will show detail by date range for a specific task. It will also total the amounts of time and costs for a quick summary for any task/project.

Employee Time Tracking

From the Employee Time Tab in the Detail Form, you can quickly add multiple employee time with the press of a button.

You can then print out a report by employee for any time range for an accurate time report with total time and pay.

You setup the Employee information from the Employees under Data Access from the Main Menu.
